IPR counts more than 150 faculty researchers, over 80 graduate and undergraduate research assistants and postdoctoral fellows, and more than 50 administrative and research staff members.

IPR is part of the Office of Research but works closely with many other schools and departments at the University. All of the Institute’s faculty are drawn from across Northwestern University, a private research university with 12 academic divisions. It has three campuses located in Evanston, downtown Chicago, and Doha, Qatar.
